My journey began in 2012 as Smitten Polish, though a necessary evolution via trademark woes eventually brought us here to the world of Dreamland Lacquer. I grew up in New Orleans and now I live in Missouri with my husband and our fur-kids.

I’m an unabashed nerd who believes that science and magic, darkness and whimsy, glitter and cremes aren’t opposites - they’re perfect partners. I’ve been an artist since I could pick up a pencil / brush; I draw (both physical media and digital), paint (watercolors, acrylics, digital), sculpt, AND make polish.

For a long time, I felt torn between the lab and the stage, trying to choose between my love for chemistry and my passion for art and theater set design. As it turns out, I didn't have to choose at all. Dreamland is the beautiful collision of those worlds, and I’m so happy to have you along for the ride.
